Default AppleTV on Macbook?

Hello. I have a Macbook with a broken screen. The actuall computer works just fine. I'm new to this Back Row and Front Row stuff but is there anyway to install Front Row to my mac so that i can connect it to my TV and use it as a AppleTV? Is this what Back Row is just for?

Default

if you have another mac you could install tiger (or leopard (not snow) if your desired plugin has been designed to work for leopards frontrow, otherwise you can isntall tiger to another partition and tweak it however you want, make sure to turn on remote desktop and vnc and ssh and all that. then mount your macbook in firewire disk mode and restore the custom tiger install to there

from there you could control the macbook with its broken screen in its entirety through remote desktop, finish configuring it how you want and then just always run it on frontrow, if you do the tiger route you can install i think up to appletv OS 2.1 (not sure if they got any further) and run atv4mac.
