Default Install iTunes on AppleTV - iPod.framework needed

Hi!

I followed the Tutorial from HowTo install iTunes on AppleTV - AwkwardTV
to install iTunes on the AppleTV, but I do not have the iPod.framework from a OS X 10.4.x Installation.
Is there a chance, that someone could send me the Framework Files ? I tried it with my Files from Snow Leopard, but it does not work.

Second Question: Is it possible to install the new iTunes 9 on the AppleTV. I think for iTunes 9 is at least 10.4.11 required - is there somehow a possibility to install it anyway?! (without installing real OSX on the AppleTV)

I want to use the AppleTV as Music-Server for my Home-Network. Now I am running the FireflyMedia Server on the AppleTV but the new iTunes Home-Sharing option would be awesome to use. Listening to Music from the Shared Library and if I want to sync something to my iPod I could just copy the files over by using home sharing.

Thanks a lot!

Regards Chris

You will most definitely need a framework from a Mac OS X running 10.4.x, i doubt you will get iTunes 9 running on the AppleTV, it is running a very bizarre hybrid 10.4.7 with some Leopard based frameworks recompiled for Tiger. I assume if there is a need for a newer iPod.framework for iTunes 9 to run that supposedly works in 10.4.11 that the framework is included somewhere in the iTunes installer package, im not sure though.

Thanks for your answer! I just got the old iPod.Framework from a 10.4.x Tiger Installation DVD borrowed from a friend - Itunes 7.5 Works fine now on my AppleTV.

I think you are right - iTunes 9 won't run... but I use now a Script from Doug's ITunes Scripts, which copies the songs over to my MBP from the AppleTV. (some kind of a light version of the new home sharing feature)
