Default ATV OSX to AppleTV OS

Hello guys,

I have a ATV which is installed OSX Leopard and running smoothly. My sister wants a ATV recently so I decided to turn it back to a normal ATV.
I have followed the recovery guide but I am a bit confused.

Do I need to rebuild the GUID (I assume not) or just a simple DD command will do? Do i need to manually reformat it? I am using the "smallatv.dmg" image

Please give me some advice what should be my first few steps...

Appreciate your help!

Did you mess up your whole ATV disk structure (formatted the whole disk)? If yes, then you have to repartition your disk. Here's some information about the disk structure: ATVBackup - atv-bootloader - Project Hosting on Google Code.

Then you have to download a recovery partition/update dmg and dd it to the correct recover partition.

After that you should be able to use the recovery agent to reinstall the atv osx.

The important part of the procedure explained on the atv bootloader site is how and what partitions are to create.
The next step is to copy the dmg to the recovery partition.
