Hello guys,
I have a ATV which is installed OSX Leopard and running smoothly. My sister wants a ATV recently so I decided to turn it back to a normal ATV. I have followed the recovery guide but I am a bit confused. Do I need to rebuild the GUID (I assume not) or just a simple DD command will do? Do i need to manually reformat it? I am using the "smallatv.dmg" image Please give me some advice what should be my first few steps... Appreciate your help! Last edited by thetrigoman; 09-22-2009 at 07:13 PM. |

Did you mess up your whole ATV disk structure (formatted the whole disk)? If yes, then you have to repartition your disk. Here's some information about the disk structure: ATVBackup - atv-bootloader - Project Hosting on Google Code.
Then you have to download a recovery partition/update dmg and dd it to the correct recover partition. After that you should be able to use the recovery agent to reinstall the atv osx. |
