Hi, all
i've tried a lot of guide, but i can't realize sound over hdmi with every version of OSX, tiger, leopard.. is it impossibile? could you tell me if there is a way to do it ? thx a lot ! |

if i understan, the only solution for sound is a OSX version with kext to abilitate a low sound over composite.. no way to have OSX in appletv with good sound? over composite only low...

If you follow this guide and install 10.5.5/10.5.6 then you should have proper sound: http://www.hackint0sh.org/f98/70835.htm
But with 10.5.8+ it's not possible up till now. |

i've follow the guide and everything work fine.. sound is good over component and it's not low... i'm waiting for developments for sound over hdmi.. if anybody know about it, i'm avaiable to test ... Thx a lot !! |

There is no way of getting sound over HDMI. It only works out of the analog sound.
You can still use the video part from HDMI and then select the analog sound input in the TV set. * Download the AppleHDA audio driver: RapidShare: 1-CLICK Web hosting - Easy Filehosting * Drag the alc885dump.txt on the AppleHDAPatcherv1.20 and wait till the patching is finished. **** Do not run AppleHDAPatcherv1.20!! simply drag the codec onto the AppleHDAPatcherv1.20!! **** It works for Tiger and Leopard. The volume and quality works great for me, it is not low at all. |
