Default Apple TV very hot

Hi,
i'm a new user (bought Atv yesterday and already hacked it).

I'm seriously worried about the external temperature. Hacked or not, it really gets hot, and the fanless structure doesn't help.
It is supposed to stay on stand by, but i prefer to shut it down.
Do you think there may be problems ?

General rule with Apple products is "If you can hold your hand on it for 5 seconds, its not too hot."

Don't place it on top of other equipment,Sat receiver, amplifier , Dvd or VCR , and definitely don't place anything on top of it.

No worries. Apple TV is known to get really hot. I always put my coffee cup on top to keep it warm. In terms of energy saving I cut the ac cable and put in an on/off switch. Works perfect since years on my former Apple TV 40GB, since 1/2 year with 250 GB HD ;-)
