I'm in the process of setting up a local server to cache firmware updates. I'm behind a slow internet connection, so the reformat-restore-update loop takes a long time.

Anyway, the current version.xml requires a download of a file called LOCKED_ATV11_00DA_00B.scap, with a DownloadSize of 2198592. However, when I actually download the file from mesu.apple.com, I get only 2163312 bytes.

Since I've had some trouble with updates recently, I'm wondering if this is a contributing factor. So, two questions for the forum:

1. What happens when a downloaded file doesn't match the specified size in version.xml?

2. Has anyone got a copy of LOCKED_ATV11_00DA_00B.scap with an actual on-disk size of 2198592?

I have a local server as well, with all versions from 1.1 up. My LOCKED_ATV11_00DA_00B.scap is also 2163312 bytes, but I've never gotten any errors with it.
