Default got 10.4.8 working on apple tv, image problem

HI, I am new to this forum. I have a question I hope you guys can answer. I have installed 10.4.8 on my apple tv, but I have a screen resolution that is stuck at 720/480 which looks too big on my 47 inch lcd. Is there any way to increase the resolution with with a driver or something. thanks in advance for your help

Hi,
Yeah I've kinda got the same question too.
Running ATV with iDeneb 10.5.6, with 20" Cinema Display. All seems ok but I don't have the ability to change the resolution.

I also have a 23" Cinema Display which I would like to use, but it won't fire up. I am assuming it's the driver as the onboard video of the ATV should get to 1920x1200.

The from what I've read, the ATV has a Nvidia graphics chip, but i'm not keen on installing a nvidia driver in case I bugger everything.

Any help would be great!

Litespeed.

Default about sound

I will repeat the post from anothe thread:

There is no way of getting sound over HDMI. It only works out of the analog sound.

You can still use the video part from HDMI and then select the analog sound input in the TV set.

* Download the AppleHDA audio driver: RapidShare: 1-CLICK Web hosting - Easy Filehosting

* Drag the alc885dump.txt on the AppleHDAPatcherv1.20 and wait till the patching is finished.

**** Do not run AppleHDAPatcherv1.20!! simply drag the codec onto the AppleHDAPatcherv1.20!! ****

Reboot and select internal speaker in the preferences.

It works for Tiger and Leopard. The volume and quality works great for me, it is not low at all.
