I keep hearing chatter at "appletvhacks.com" that somebody has discovered the sound fix for osx on ATV. Honestly, I searched for the guide that they were refering to, and could not find it. Could anyone please advise me to where I can find this "guide".
Or maybe even a how-to on how to enable sound on ATV with osx. Any guidance is appreciated. Thank You.

I copied thi when I was doing my original research for this project, but I'm stuck at another issue. Make out of it what you can, I dont fully understand it myself.
QUOTE: Install AzaliaAudio.pkg, but don’t reboot when prompted. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.p...=post&id=19590 Unzip AppleHDAPatcher 1.20 http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.p...=post&id=18636 Drag codec to patcher. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.p...=post&id=10328 Then reboot. You should now have complete support for ALC885. If not, let me know, as I have several other codec dumps to try. - Audio only works out of the analog output, so if you are using the HDMI for video you will need external speakers. If you are using the component video than you can use the TV’s speaker. - In System Settings - Audio, select “Internal Speakers” (built-in speaker) - Use the RCA analog outputs. The SPDIF nor HDMI audio will work. :END QUOTE |
