Hi,

i connected my Apple TV via HDMI to my LCD Samung TV and also tried to connect my audio system with the apple tv.

But i cannot regulate the volume with the apple tv remote control.
I hear that apple tv makes some sounds, but the volume is not going higher or lower.

This happens also when i connect via HDMI(Sound volume of the tv is not rising or sinking), and when i connect my sound system via the normal audio output also the same is happening.

Any ideas?

Does apple tv only control the volume when you connect it via digital audio out?

As far as i have found out, there is no way of controling volume using the appleTV and appleTV's remote. it must be done by the TV

Yeah that is a really bad thing...

so you don´t even need the function on the apple remote ..
