Prepare to call me crazy...
So I have an idea for an iPhone app I would like to create and I was curious if any tools existed that may help me in this endeavor. I have a feeling you will call call me nuts
 , which I am okay with  .I want to write custom firmware for the PMB8878 so I can use the iPhone's as walkie talkies. (I know this would be illegal in the US due to FCC rules over the freqs, not looking to do that) So, is there any info out there? I saw that iPhone Dev Team had some custom tools running ([iPhone] 3G Runs Modified Baseband and Custom Tools).

Doing more research and it looks like Nucleus is the OS on the baseband and that it is indeed possible to insert custom commands. Basically, any sort of API or known calls would be helpful as to not have to reverse engineer the whole damn thing.

Okay, so using minicom we can use at commands. Here is a list of some: UndocumentedATcommands - iphone-elite - Undocumented AT commands. - Project Hosting on Google Code Maybe brute force more?
