Does anyone ever know if apple is going to come out with a windows version of their software? I'm a windows developer and Ive been interested in developing for the iPhone but I do not own an apple computer and do not feel like shelling out the 2 grand. Any information would be helpful to me, I feel like I may have some good applications to offer the iPhone community.

If you want to put your apps on iTunes store then getting a Mac is rather inevitable in the long run.
Though you could consider building/modifying a Hackintosh PC to run MacOS. Do forum search regarding this topic. Alternatively you could try running MacOS in VMware [64bit XP/Vista and Intel CPU is recommended). Again forum search is your first choice ![]() Finally for now you could play around with open toolchain which allows you to compile natively on the iphone itself. Still you won't have any support of IDE[XCode] and no iphone-simulator. If you would like to check it out you may look here: http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/f9/65583.htm
