There was no error when restoring.
I tried all the usb slots on my laptop, still doesn't work. Is there anything else I should do?

Problem is, I am not able to go through my apps or anything, it's locked. I'm trying to jailbreak. Did you just run blackra1n after restoring and updating to 3.1.2 on iTunes? Because I did that too, not working. :\

did a clean restore to 3.1.2 from itune 9.0.1 & 9.0.2
ran blackra1n RC3, goes into recovery, and said it's done after reboot, but just get stuck at geohot's image and doesn't reboot.

tried to unplug and replug still doesn't work. tried it on XP Pro and Vista Home.

after 3hrs later, i held down power and home for 15 sec and it reboot and apple logo shows up, but i get emergency call only. but i noticed this image.

any help would be greatly appreciated!

this was for me too, but after using firmware from http://www.poorlad.com/iCommunity/ i have finally jailbroken but here is still some problems:
1. youtube, gps, maps, appstore, wi-fi(reset network settings works then).
2. push fix by dev team doesnt work for me to fix gps, youtube, maps, appstore.
3.after blacksn0w installation i have gsm working, but no 3g service and phone boots up not as fast as was on 3.0 (it takes about 45s for my 3gs and before blacksn0w 22s)
4. tried everything, restored whith custom firmware but i got battery drain (21% per 8hours) its not normal, while phone was set uped as new on itunes.
