Help.
also HT off does not boot in leopard.
I'm not sure of the reason for this to happen but I have never tried to install this on anything other than the Intel DX58SO. I'm sorry I cannot be of more help, possibly somebody else could have an answer. If anybody knows of the cause of this or has solved this issue please reply to inform us all, Thankyou.

I get the same error. Hmmmm....I have almost same setup as juiceman. DX58SO, Geforce 9800GT, i7, 6 gb ram. I can run iatkos 10.5.5 off secondary drive mostly fine (sleep problems, audio).

I can run the mobo patcher, starting from 1) run entire install, when u get to SL install, it seems to jump ahead a bit - past kext/kernal instal. Hmmmmmm.....maybe it would be best to run each option manually?

Also, he didn't say, but if you are using EFI scheme, would you not have to have UEFI enabled in DX58SO motherboard boot options?

Dang,...!

I played around a little more. When I follow Juicemans guide, specifically choosing the EFI (option 2), I get the boot errors, which means the bootloader wasn't found.

Using the other scheme, /extra, I can get chameleon 2.0 to start. The apple.plist has the -v setting, verbose obviously, and things seem alright, until the end, and a kernal panic occurs. Not enough info on the screen to figure out what is the problem.

My next step was to remove all kexts from the /extra/Storedkexts - (note, this is a different path than what the digital tutorial indicated), to no avail.

So, more tinkering around. Maybe its the kernal, etc. Frustrating as my board & peripherals are identical to what juice stated he had. Maybe a plist needs to be edited, or some as yet BIOS flag.

Fortunately, I have a real Mac pro. I just wanted another mac station and thought the intel motherboard would be best. Im thinking now the gigabyte stuff would be better.
