Default Mini 10v + Snow Leopard = any advice?

I have read a bunch of different guide and tutorials and can't seem to get this installed and working. I have restored the SL DVD to the thumb drive and then used the netbook installer but I get a kernel panic while installing. Mini 10v + Snow Leopard = any advice? Any advice or a known working guide for SL and 10v to help a fellow mate out?

I have been following this guide but I cannot seem to produce a bootable USB Flash Drive. I have tried it a number of times now following the instructions exactly and each time the USB drive is not bootable (I have set the BIOS to boot from USB). When I try to boot it it still boots the hard disk. And yet I successfully used the same flash drive to downgrade the BIOS which also required me to create a bootable drive. Any suggestions ?

Can no one help me here. I have tried it a dozen times now on different USB sticks but every time my Dell won't boot from the stick. I must be overlooking something very obvious but I have read and reread the tutorial until I am sick of it.

The Dell Mini 10v is actually pretty easy to install SL on it. I have 2 Mini 10v runnning dual-boot OSX 10.6.1 and Windows 7... updates run smooth just like a real Mac.
There are tons of guides @ mydellmini.com regarding the Dell Minis.
You'll need NetbookBootMaker 0.8.3 RC3 or RC2 to prep your USB flashdrive. You can get it here @ osx.mechdrew.com, this guy also has great guides too.
Hope this points you in the right direction.

BTW.. installation is much easier if your Mini 10v has BIOS A04-A05.
If not, you can downgrade your BIOS to verison A04.

That's great thanks, I've just had a quick look at mydellmini.com and there's tons of stuff there, I'm sure I'll get it sorted now. BTW I have already downgraded my BIOS to A04.

note; my attempt failed with kernel panic-the screen should state the error, mine was platform ...86 not compatible, so on mydellmini site and mechdrew guides under troubleshooting they advise that when doing install you will get 3 seconds to type -x for verbose mode and --something-86 for 86 compatibility so go there(mydellmini or mechdrew guides)
