Hi all,

I'm building a cheap MicroATX (slim) PC right now and I need to know what video card should I purchase for Snow Leopard.

My budget is less than $50USD and the video card should be PCIe Low Profile or low profile ready

Did a quick search in Newegg and I'm my options are:

1) 9400GT
2) 7300GS or LE
3) 8400GS

I know for a fact that the 7300GS works in Leopard with just EFI injection (which I have right now in dual display), but how about in Snow Leopard?

I'm thinking of getting the 9400GT because it is newer and it is PCIe 2.0. I think it also has more functions that the other two. Of course, better graphics.

I really don't care much about performance though. I want it to have more compatibility and stability.

I know there are more compatible cards than I listed, but these are low profile cards. It has to be low profile or it won't fit my slim case. Also, these are less than $50 USD.

Any beta testers could confirm that these cards are good in SL?

The 9400GT is a card that Apple is officially providing, so support is and will continue to be excellent. Cards in top of the line Macbook Pros will have support until the sun burns out (or a better one comes along, whichever comes first)
