Hi,

ive been setting up an 2g iphone to day, and installed backra1n no problems, icon was up 30secs.

then i was having problem setting up wi-fi, so i removed (untstalled) blackra1n incase that was coursing a problem,,
then sorted the wi-fi out so its on now my BT home wireless hub and tried to re-install blackra1n and it wont re-install,

ive tried loads of way to c-drive, am on vista. how do i open "task manger" ,, sorry am not on the ball with computers

please please has anybody got and info to help me out , ive look all over net but no info about..

am running 3.1.2 (7d11)

i have syc the phone on itunes with all me new info on, and now it wont install blackra1n,,, i have no itunes pop up i have disabled it so its doesnt syc.

i can go and try install blackra1n and its goes ok tells me jailbreak done and there is no icon.

if you are using a 2G iphone you dont need blackra1n.... all you need is pwnagetool or redsn0w

Guaranteed solution, restore the iPhone to stock 3.1.2 and then run blackra1n again to jailbreak and this time don't delete the blackra1n icon.

For a vista user running 3.1.2 neither redsn0w or pwnagetool are directly supported. Redsn0w only works on 3.0.x and Pwnagetool requires a mac to generate the custom ipsw.

Now the iPhone is jailbroken, you can always use custom IPSW files created by mac pwnagetool users to upgrade to newer versions of the iPhone OS and stay jailbroken.
