Default won't let me install custom ipcc.

how come when I open my iTune, it only have "upgrade" and "restore" options. and when I shift + click on upgrade there is only option for me to select ipsw files not ipcc files.

Are you on Windows? If so, did you see the tiny pulldoen menu on the bottom? After applying the re-injection to iTunes yiu should be able to select "ipcc".
On a Mac it would be option + click upgrade.

Before you can do you have to re-enable injection in iTunes, Apple broke it a while ago. Quit iTunes if running, then

On a Mac start Terminal (Applications/Utilities) and type:
defaults write com.apple.iTunes carrier-testing -bool TRUE

On Windows open command prompt and paste the following command:
"%ProgramFiles%\iTunes\iTunes.exe" /setPrefInt carrier-testing 1

Injection will be reenabled then.

I'm running window vista. I tried "%ProgramFiles%\iTunes\iTunes.exe" /setPrefInt carrier-testing 1. It opened itune for me but when I try to install ipcc the option is still not there.
what is the pulldoen menu that you are talking about and where is it?
