Upgrade HELP PLEASE
Hi im trying to upgrade my iphone 2g from OS 3.0.1 to OS 3.1.2 and jailbreak and unlock it
my baseband is 04.05.08_G and i think my bootloader is 3.9 but im not sure. Everywhere i go people keep saying that i need baseband 04.28.08 but i don't know how to upgrade it. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME EITHER UPGRADE MY BASEBAND OR TELL ME HOW TO JAILBREAK AND UNLOCK MY PHONE AFTER I UPGRADE THE OS? thank you

You have a 2G iPhone, these are unlocked using bootneuter not using ultrasn0w.
You cannot and do not need to upgrade your baseband. Apple has not released a new baseband for your model phone since OS 1.1.4 This unlock is permanent and if you are running 3.0.1, then it is already permanently unlocked and you can safely upgrade to 3.1.2 However you need to make sure it is hactivated. The only way to do that is to restore with a custom firmware made with pwnagetool 3.1.4 when it asks "do you have a contract that allows you to activate normally in iTunes" say no
