I was planing to jailbreak my 3.0 phone, and created a back up file for the wrong release.

I read a tutorial for JB however the backup file it linked to was 2.2.2 for some reason. I was not paying attention and saved my stuff to this file

Then I proceeded, but the phone went into recovery mode


I didn't think it through and just followed what the apple website said and restored my phone; not thinking this would be a problem as I had the save file

now I have a fully wiped iphone with 3.1.2 and all my info is saved in a 2.2.2 file.

Is there any way to get the information from that file?
As everything I have read says there is now possible way to downgrade my phone to 2.2.2

It is definitely possible to downgrade a 3G iphone back to OS 2.x and even OS 1.1.4

You will get some errors during itunes, these can be resolved with quickpwn.
