2g gen 1. Phone was deactivated. used redpawn to jailbreak and I checked Unlock too. Cydia works, apps work. I can hear the speakers feedback when phone comes back after reboot. still get No Service and Sim Not Provisioned. tried sbsreboot, airplane mode toggle, yellowsn0w terminal commands tho I know it's not a 3g phone. Tried everything I could find but no carrier. Beginning to think this sim card is suspended? I do get the voicemail alert everytime I reboot tho but still No Service. I will try a diff sim card asap. In da meantime anyone got any suggestions? I would greatly appreciate it.
Also should note that phone will be used on AT&T anyway.. Is it tru that I cannot undo the unlock now? Was thinking of restoring factory but if it won't lock it back then not sure the point.
one more.. How do tell if the phone is activated (or hactivated)? And does the sim used have to have a iPhone plan or data plan to pick up service?

i removed SIM, rebooted via SBSettings, inserted SIM after a few minutes and toggled airplane mode. now the phone is stuck on "Searching..." for an hour.

still not working. no reply. zilch. notta.
