Default no camara

Well as it seems I am just not getting the camera next to the input box in the msg app, I did get the APN settings to pop under //settings/general/network/cellular data, but still no camera, I made sure and checked the patch as you guys can see in the picture below that it has the "0755"... I am just confused at this moment..

I'm pretty sure the battery life issue is just an inherent problem with the devices.

Seems even 3G/3GS users are suffering:

Smile Using Win PC...I know nothing about MAC

2G - 3.1.2 - Modem FW 4.05.04_G - Win XP

Used pledit to add the EDGEEditting line in plist. Used iPhoneBrowser to drop plist in its dir. Also used iPhoneBrowser to drop CommCenter in root. Then used Mobile Terminal to give permission and move CommCenter to correct dir. Took a little while to figure out that if I drop it in Root folder a switch "/" has to be added to the front.

Anyway, just got it up but seems to work flawless. I am use to the battery draw as I had MMS on 3.0. Stupid me, listened to a friend that said upgrade so i could run an app he built. Spent probably 10hrs on this just reading and studying on how to do.

Much thanks to Whiterat and ginc. Without yall I would be really pissed for a while or trying to get back to 3.0.

Now if I could just get my 3G to get signal on 3.1.2???????? Actually thats what started all this. 3G wouldn't work so decided to be dumb and screw with my 2G just to run his app. 20/20 hindsight.

edit: also forgot to mention.

I am on Tmo. Once i got the MMS APN editing to come up and the camera next to the text box in the SMS app, I went to Cydia and DL'ed SpookeyET's "T-mobile US - carrier support" packages in the "Tweaks" Section. I know that most of the bundle does ont work but it did populate everything that was needed for MMS APN settings. Also I was talking to him when he made these and at the begining he had issues with pics coming blurry, so i know he has the "MMS Max Message Size" correct. And I got lucky and it populated the rest. And those carrier packages are available on Cydia, Icy or Rock Your Phone.

Default No extra battery drain

I did not delete that file that is being discussed for draining the battery.

My phone was off charge for 18hrs yesterday with usual use (about 5 phone calls, 50 SMS sent/recieved, 5 MMS received, check emails with one being exchange so it updates frequently). At the end I had 32% on the battery left.

I remember on 3.0 that there was a demon that you had to run something to make it stop. Downloaded the app from Cydia to stop it. but dont see the same things happening that happened with that.

Honestly I dont think it this patch or hack that is causing battery drain.

iPhone 2G - 3.1.2 - MMS Patch

This is a patch for CommCenter from iPhone OS 3.1.2 running on the iPhone 2G Device.

-Whiterat
Any way to fix CommCenter for tethering? I have found a patch on iClarified but I am not a MAC user.

Also guess plist has to be edited also? I can do that with a little direction.

But I have not found any info on how to edit CommCenter or even what to do once in it.

Edit:
Ok did a little searching and seems 2G does not support tethering.

I used it and I had MMS for about 1 hour. Then, everything got back to what it used. No camera button and no sending or receiving...

I installed again all the files (CommCenter and M68) and nothing changed... I'm clueless...
Any ideas?
