Hi,
I would just like to understand clearly what's happening... Thx ![]() In March, I bough an 3G iPhone with version 2,1. I've jailbreak & unlock : no problem. In September I upgrade to v3,0 + jailbreak & unlock : no problem. End September I buy a 3GS and want to give my 3G to my mom... so I reset & erase all. In the process the phone got freezed. So after several attempts, I succeded to restore it in 3,1. Now I jailbreak & unlock and my modem went to 5,11,07 + my bootloader is in 5,09 meaning basically that it doesn't work anymore... ![]() I understand that my modem firmware has been upgraded but I think my bootloader was always the same. No? If it was always the same, isn't there a way to simply "format" the phone and go back to 3.0 or even 2,1? Thank you Pwolfy |

your booloader is always the same, you can not uppgrade/downgrade, itīs hardware.
your modem/baseband IS uppgradeble but NOT downgradeble (unless you are on bootloader 5.08) you can downgrade your iphone fw to 3.0 or 2,21 but baseband/modem will still be on 5,11,07 |

Thank you for your answer Micked!
So I got it : I was always in Bootloader 5.09 & my baseband did an upgrade. Still : isn't there any way to "flash" the phone and/or "format" it completely so it goes to its factory settings? Or do I have to wait for lovely magicians doing a new Fuzzyband? thx pw |
