Need help upgrading to 3.1
new to this forum and iphone. got a used iphone 2g of ebay. need help upgrading it to latest software.
the phone currently has 1. Os 3.0 2. modem firmwire: 04.05.04_G 3. i dont know how it was upgraded or jailbroken by previous owner but it has two icons quickpwn & cydia... one more thing, using windows 7 thnx...

the latest firmware is 3.1.2. so there is no problem to stay on 3.0.
You have the latest baseband and its jailbroken and activated so i think its unlocked too. On Windows there ist no app at this moment supporting the latest firmware. you have three options: - use the latest pwnagetool 3.1.4 on an virtual machine (vmware ...) to create an custom ipsw - download an custom ipsw from the net - wait for sn0wbreeze Last edited by sekone; 10-14-2009 at 06:50 PM.
