I have updated to OS 3.0 and jailbreak and unlocked it using redsnow almost a week ago. Everything worked fine until I update the Cydia tonight.

After the update it hanged and I had to restarting it by pressing the power and home button. Now it won't boot up. It shows the Apple logo and after that a black screen will appears.

Does anyone encountered this problem?
Is it safe if I put the phone in DFU and restore OS 3.0 again? I mean can I still unlock it after restoring the OS 3.0?
If not can you please tell me how can I solve this problem?

I guess I have the same problem (very similar), apple logo not disappear it still on all time. But the most problem is that phone are not recognized by iTunes (iphone Browser, iFunBox & PC suite also). And I cant even restore it. Only thing what communicate with phone is redsn0w - I can jailbreak it again and again... No changes. Now I will try to let battery drawn out and start everthing again.

I've got back my iphone clean and clear like on day of purchase. I did use phone restore mode or DFU (if it's The same).

Yes you can just start iTunes and restore everything without any problems.

Are you using WINDOWS ...use this Step by Step if your phone is an 2G model...
