I'm on an unlocked 2g iPhone w/ 3.0 software on T-mobile's network. The problem is that anytime I try to access the internet I get the message:
"could not activate cellular data network: You are not subscribed to a cellular data service" I have the Blackberry unlimited data plan through T-mobile. And if I put my SIM back in the BB, I can jump right on the internet with no problems. I've tried the following APN's on the iPhone: epc.tmobile.com internet2.voicestream.com internet3.voicestream.com wap.voicestream.com hiptop.t-mobile.com all with blank username and passwords. None of them work. The "E" shows up on the phone, so it looks like it is at least on the Edge network. Anyone have any ideas why I can't access the data network? Do I need to get a different data plan through T-mobile? Thanks |

I had the same issue. Just restart the phone. That took care of connecting to T-Mo network. I used epc.tmobile.com

I ended up going in a T Mobile store today and told them what I was trying to do. They said I need to switch to a non-BB data plan. They put me on the smartphone plan and everything is working now.
Thanks for the help! |
