I'm some what new to this, yet I have jailbroken my last iphone 3g
I just got a brandnew phone from Apple due to the wifi not working at all. Before I attempt to jailbreak this new one, I want to make sure I am going about this the right way.

I'm currently running the 3.0.1 and I do NOT have any service right now. I am planning on dropping Verizon within the next month and switching to AT&T data plan. Am I safe to jailbreak my phone with redsnow with an inactive SIM card? I don't plan on unlocking the phone at all, I just wish to use cydia so I can have programs like winterboard and what not.

well, i went ahead and did it anyway and everything seems to be working great. hopefully when i do activate service i won't have any problems.
