Default Apps won't launch after restore

None of my apps will launch after a restore. I have an iPhone 3G, had 3.0. Restored with 3.0.1 firmware, restored from backup, ran redsn0w, ran ultrasn0w.

I'd rather not set up as new phone ... any ideas?

Except then I lose all my preferences and have to spend an evening fixing everything, so, no, that's a poor solution. It's not a good idea; rather, it's the last resort.

Before commenting just read what I told … I told ‘try to avoid restore from backup’ (did I ever say that you need to do restore?) I told you to get the application downloaded in Itunes and Synchronize. I too know restoration is last option.

Last resort or not, at this point you should do this. I know it takes time to tune up the phone as we like, but in this case...

Maybe YOU should read what I wrote before commenting. I already said I didn't want to set it up as a new phone. I was looking for OTHER solutions. Giving me the solution I already gave is not helping.
