Hi! I bought this used iPhone (3g running the 3.0 firmware) from someone in the UK, knowing that it was locked for the O2 service and i was planning to unlock it here in Dubai, myself. So when I arrived, although I had no service with my Etisalat sim card, the phone kept working, had wi-fi, ipod, etc. Now I decided to reset the phone to factory settings just to give it a fresh start and after i done that It keeps asking me for me to plug it in to itunes to activate. The problem is that now it will not activate because it doesnt have the O2 sim. AND the big problem is that it doesnt even show in My Computer so I can access it, and if im not wrong, i have to get there so i can get the firmware (.ipsw, right??) jailbroken with the redsn0w program... so.. what can I do???? is there ANY tool or trick that I can do to make this jailbraking and unlocking happen or I have to get somehow an 02 sim???

You don't need O2 sim, all you need is Redsn0w 8.0 to jailbreak
