Hi evrybody, this is my first post here and sorry for my bad english.
I bought an iphone on craigslist, and it have got a broken power botton (2g, 3.1).
When i got the iphone was without simcard i could use it as an ipod.
After trying to unlock i had to restore the firmware (i restored to 3.1), and now when i turn on the iphone he ask me for activation and he only let me do emergency calls!
I don't have any AT&T sim cards and i don't wanna subscribe for a AT&T plan, and i can't jailbreak it becouse itunes doesn't recognize the phone and no jailbreaking software works!!!

Here is the question, how do i avoid the activation process?

now since u have a broken power/sleep button using a tools like redsnow are out of the question cause they require u to enter the DFU mode manually ....

so what u can do is get ur hands on a custom ispw file(torrents/pwnage tool) which is already JAILBROKEN and set to unlocking with bootnueter(which wont be neccessary if u are already able to make/recieve calls ) and restore to it....

and as for the broken power/sleep button ....there is an app called mquickdo on cydia which can replace the regular working of the power/sleep button (google it )
