Lightbulb [Solution] Stuck on at reboot phase usin redsn0w on a Mac

Hi folks,

just decided to upgrade to 3.0 and apply redn0w afterwards. However, I had the problem that during the process of preparing for the jailbreak, my iphone (2G) won't reboot after I put it into DFU mode. It just sat there doing nothing no matter how long I (and redsn0w) waited.

Just in case there are other people having the same problem, the solution for me was simply to take the phone out of the cradle and put it back in, then it rebooted and redns0w could continue.

Wat did not work for me was putting the phone manually again into DFU mode. I tried this before and redsn0w even said it uploaded the ramdisk, but in the end, it did not work.

Hope this helps somebody with the same problem.

Cheers

I´ve always used pwnage, this time with the 3.0 update, the wifi got very weak and I´m hoping maybe Redsnow is a better unlock and JB!

If you have a solution to weak wifi, pleeeaaase tell me!

Glad I could help someone.

But regarding the weak wifi, I can not help you, did not occurr on my phone so far. I do sometimes see a weak signal initially, but once I use the network, the signal strength is quickly shown to be strong.

Same symptom different solution.

Redsn0w also got stuck at the reboot screen but my solution was to use a different USB Port. At first I used the one at the back of my iMac which didn't work, but the USB Port at my Keyboard did.

May be this helps someone with the same problem.

cheers
