A friends iPhone 2G is stuck at the apple logo.

He says that when he woke up it was like that.

So i used RedSn0w to re-unlock.

All fine, apparently, but on the final boot, it stays at the Apple logo, with the spinning thing over-imposed, but without spinning.

I mean, i see the Flashing NOR pineapple, then the iPhone reboots and goes into automatic mode, and then, it tries to reboot again, but apple logo!

Any Ideas??!?! Thanks.

UPDATE: After about 5 minutes, the iphone screen flashed, and it re-booted again, and is again stuck at the apple logo.

This is how i fixed it.

1) conected it to my MacBook (maybe it would work the same on Windows)
2) turned the iPhone off by pressing both home and power till it shut down.
3) again pressed power/home, and keep holding till the apple logo appeared.
4) released the power button, but kept the home button.
5) itunes recognized the iphone and offered to "upgrade and restore".
6) let itunes do it.
7) took it back to my XP machine, and used RedSn0w to unlock.

SUCCESS!!!

even i have the same problem...i had jailbreaked my 3G with OS 3.0 and it worked fine yesterday. Today I saw that I do not have 3G connection, nor my voicemail works. So I did a complete reset of the phone from Settings menu and now it is not turning on. I tried to re-jailbreak it and it went fine uptil last step after which it is not turning on and getting stuck at the apple logo...
Any help is highly appreciated.
