I jailbraked my 2G phone after it was upgraded to the 3.0 version. It worked fine for a day or two - besides gettting hot and losing battery life extremely quick.

Now I am unable to receive calls (they go right to VM) and texts only come through when I hard boot the phone. Everyone I call and text gets through ok.

any suggestions?

try turning off push notifications if you have those enabled. its currently broken on original iphones anyways, so install an app that supports it (ap, aol, etc), then go into settings and turn it off

also, go into you mail settings, and turn push off there as well.

i was not receiving calls, and i was told that it is a bug in the 3.0fw that keeps the baseband busy, therefore you can not receive data.

give that a try
