Update to 3.1 on windows with .ipsw file jailbroken on a mac?

I have followed this guide until step 9 to create a jailbroken 3.1 .ipsw file, which doesn't update the baseband and allows ultrasn0w to work, on a friends mac.

Can I now update my 3.0 3GS phone on my windows computer using that .ipsw file?

I need to unlock it so ultrasn0w has to work, but as I understand it it will?

Ioor it will work, I did exactly with my 32G 3GS and everything is working fine. Just remember to follow the instructions to get DFU mode and do a Shift + Restore. Good luck

As of right now pwnage tool 3.1.3 is for mac only. Have to wait for an update for windows.
