Default redsn0w 0.8 problem

Trying to jailbreak my 3GS 3.0 with redsn0w 0.8, got an ERROR after "mounting disk0s2s1"

So, I cant jailbreak and cant restore cause it will upgrade the os to 3.1 and then be sim locked.....

What can I do?

This will only work if the phone was succesfully jailbroken once previously at 3.0.

It is possible that it will still work though.. as I think it has gone far enough into the jailbreak at this point to have written the part of the jailbreak that pwnagetool 3.1.3 needs.

If your phone is stuck at the apple logo, it won't make things worse by trying.

Is jailbreaking the same thing as PWNed?
as in redsnow=pwnagetool? they achieve the same thing? because in dev blog they mention previously "pwned."

Making the phone PWNed is the one of the steps performed during the jailbreak process.

jailbreaking == gaining access to the root file system on the iphone so that you can write "extra" stuff to it.

Pnwed = execute an exploit so that you can jailbreak the phone. At the current time, it's the iboot that is pwned.

redsn0w is a tool to do both the above for firmware 3.0

pwnagetool is a tool to create custom firmware (taking stock apple fw and patch it) so that you can use on the phone. The advantage of custom firmware is that it prevent baseband update.

Dev Team blog mentioned previously pwned phone means that custom firmware 3.1 for 3GS can only be applied to phone that was previously jailbroken ... meaning iphone that has the iboot pwned.
