Is it safe to update the carrier settings?
hi!
I haven't jailbreak my 3gs (3.01) by now, but I want to do later. Now Itunes is asking me, if I want to install the carrier settings update. Is it safe to do so or do may I lose the abillity to jailbreak and unlock it. Thank you! Andreas

yes it is safe... carrier settings is not a problem, this has been confirmed by the dev-team
just dont upgrade to 3.1 if you want an unlock

Just one comment on that: A carrier bundle update will not break the status of your iPhone but may break Tethering - if you enabled it before.
