I just bought this off ebay, I don't know how he unlocked it all I know is i put my tmobile sim in and put apn settings now, I have it unlocked everything works, wifi, SMS, and internet and phone.

is there anyway I could get 3G on my t-mobile? I recently had a Google android plan, which was 3G network...

Now I put my sim in my phone and I" don't have 3G only edge on the iPhone I am in USA.

T-Mobile in the US uses a different kind of technology for the 3G that is not compatible with the iPhone.
So no can do.

They use another frequency, and to change into the frequency of 3G GSM they would have to change the carrier side, so I don't think this will happen any time soon.

the ONLY way to get it in USA is on ATT..

ATT 3G will give 500mbps 3G internet speed, instead of the 200mbps of Tmobile Edge..

ATT is 2.5 times faster than Tmobile for internet on an iPhone, but ATT costs about $40 more per month than Tmobile for a comparable plan

is faster internet, off wifi, worth $40 a month to you? to me its not, yet..

Well I had the g1 and I paid 86$ a month for 3g full data and 600 mins + unlimi text..

And I bought the phone unlocked; so tbh, I rather have slow internet then change my whole plan to ATT and pay 40$ more + 200$ cancleation fee in t-mobile..
