I have a factory unlocked 3GS. I would like to give back to the iPhone community. Please let me know how I can rip the baseband from it so that everyone can have the factory unlocked version of the phone.

i wish it was as simple as this .... there's more to a factory unlocked phone then just the firmware and software part of it... I believe the chipset are also dif too...

Could be, but I would have hoped that Apple would have some unlock code like RIM and Nokia to unlock the phones. Lets hope someone can find what is required to achieve the same.
