Default My 3GS is jalibroken and unlocked... iTunes asking me for activation??

Hi all...

I'm very new to the Apple world.. So, please bear with me...

I bought an iPhone 3GS (32G) that is unlocked via software... A non AT&T SIM was installed without problems and I’ve installed many programs via iTunes...

Now, I want to enable the MMS in my 3GS and I’ve installed a software and it did the enabled the MMS. But i un-install it...

After that, iTunes is asking me to activate my iPhone with AT&T SIM...

Please guide me what to do..

Thanks in advanced...

You have not been clear about what versions of software you installed. From the sounds of it you have upgraded to iPhone OS 3.1

If you have done this you are stuck, you have lost unlock (probably permanantly) and jailbreak (for now) there are no options.

If you had come here to these forums first, there are guides on enabling MMS for iPhone OS 3.0 which would have kept your unlock.

Check the version of your modem firmware (settings -> General -> about) if it is 04.26.08 then you can get your unlock back.

Are you using another carrier than AT&T? For example t-mobile?

What did you install to enable MMS on your 3GS? How did you install this? via Cydia? via iTunes?

Can you give more details on what package you installed via Cydia to enable MMS? Without additional information it is very hard to help.

You said you uninstalled it afterwards. Some packages from Cydia modify system files and can't be completely uninstalled.
