Default [Help] iTunes 9 not detecting 3GS in recovery mode

Hello guys,

Now I have downloaded a custom firmware made by the new Pwnagetool that jailbreaks the 3GS on 3.1

I was already on 3.1, so I downloaded the custom firmware to restore directly from iTunes - I wasnt expecting it to work, as I must be on jailbroken 3.0.1 and then upgrade using a custom fw - however I just wanted to try things.

Now iTunes gave me an error (expected) and now Im stuck in Recovery mode.

The problem is, that iTunes 9 doesn't detect the iPhone. But windows detects and iPhone in recovery mode. I tried kicking out of the recovery mode by turning off the phone, hold power + home button together, release power button when Apple logo shows up, keep holding home, but no luck.

Help is needed urgently, and is much appeciated as Im starting lectures tomorrow

Thanks

Ok, I solved this.

I download the latest QuickPwn on to my laptop,

I held the power+home buttons for 15 seconds, let go of home, and kept pressing power for 2 seconds. And ran quickpwn. I didn't complete the process and the iPhone booted up again.

Cheers

Glad to see you worked it out...

Usually kicking it into dfu then back to recovery will solve that problem.

Hope your lectures go well.
