Default Is there any Hardware Unlock tools for baseband 05.11?

Is there any Hardware Unlock tools for baseband 05.11?

I think if we can access into the hardware, we can do almost anything that include unlock or downgrade of baseband. Certainly we will lose warranty when taking the iphone apart but i think it is value

Sorry if i say anything wrong about operation of hardware and firmware on an iphone.

Thanks

It is not a hardware unlock.
Skillful people there (China, Vietnam, India) basically open your iphone 3G, downgrade your bootloader to 5.08 and put in baseband firmware 04.26.08 so you can run ultrasn0w.
So technically is still relies on ultrasn0w to provide the unlocking. This can only be done for iphone 3G, not 3GS.

There are creative things those guys can do but ultimately it is not a hardware unlock

is the old hardware unlock method always possible to downgrade the baseband? back when i got my first iphone, a 2g, i was at 1.2 and 4.6 and i had to use that method to downgrade to 3.9, is that still possible with the 3g?

I'm wondering if the old "turbo sim" solution would still work? I got 30 or so of them left but no phone to test it (don't want to mess up mine)...

There has not been a working turbosim (or related) unlock since the 2.2.1 days

May be still possible but that approach seems to have been abandoned in favour of soft-unlocks.
