Hey so I just figured out how to jailbreak for 3.1 on my Mac. But... after I put my phone in recovery mode, I hold the option button and click restore but it wont let me open up my custom firmware? It automatically loads up the original 3.1 firmware and it wont let me choose my own. I've tried holding function with it, the apple button, I've tried all combinations of buttons but it won't let me do it. Is my OPTION button just not working or is there something else I need to do?
*** I also transferred my custom firmware to my windows and tried shift-click restoring on there. The shift click works but when I load up the custom firmware it says that the file is corrupt. Anyone can help me with this? Last edited by KillaCamCC5; 09-30-2009 at 05:23 AM. |

The alt button is the same thing as the option button on the mac.
Have you made the right firmware for you phone? For a 3G you should be in DFU mode to restore this image. For a 3GS you should be in restore mode. |
