Hello all. I have found a article about changing the proper carrier.plist to add this tag AllowEDGEEditing. But this did not work for me. I have FW 3.0 and iPhone 3G.

I have not possibility to edit ipcc file because the PList editor is only for Mac and not for Windows.

My friend have allowed the editing, but it is special menu (not under Settings/General/Network) in Settings as lowest menu item called Carrier Settings (under item Store). I have compared the carrier.plist and are the same. There must be other way how to enable this settings item.

Mine current carrier bundle is this one: Orange Slovakia 4.1

Would you mind to help me identify what to enable editing of APN ?

Create you custom carrier bundle, it includes Allow EDGE editing

Thank you for tip. I solved it other way 'cos I have Apple partner carrier bundle.

I have used this manual but you need to modify iTunes to accept ipcc. This is described on the Carrier Bundle Generator web.

On a Mac open the application Terminal (in Applications/Utilities) and type:
defaults write com.apple.iTunes carrier-testing -bool TRUE
on Windows open command prompt and type:
"%ProgramFiles%\iTunes\iTunes.exe" /setPrefInt carrier-testing 1
Injecting the IPCC-Files is enabled again.
