does this jailbreak unlock the firmware 3.0 beta2 for the original iphone as i dont have a AT&T sim?

There is no unlock for 3.0 yet.

uhm... that's right... but "original iphone" is not very precise

even my 3g iphone is an "original iphone"

I am running Mac only so i had a problem here, didnt work under VMware'd XP or Vista, but worked PERFECT at a emulated Windows7 with iTunes 8.1. Just to report you. Cheers.

XP in Fusion worked fine for me. You need to connect the phone via a usb hub to overcome the bug in 10.5.6 dfu mode support.
