If I were to use an iphone 2G, which was until now pwned, unlocked and jailbroken, and UUID is dev,
would it then be possible to simply restore to any 3.0 beta including 4, without losing the unlock? or would it then during the activation realize the SIM is not officially supported and fail to unlock or to activate? |

Just use the onofficial quickpwn for beta 4.
Then you can just restore to beta 4.

Just confirming that the 2.0.2 downgrade worked a treat with today's GM Seed.
Was running 2.2.1 on a 1st Gen, activated on Vodafone NZ using quickpwn (since 1.0). A straight upgrade wouldn't work. Downgraded to 2.0.2, quickpwned with RC3, then installed 3.0 using Shift+Update button in iTunes. |

Updated 2G (alt-update on mac) from beta5 to GM without a hitch. Activation retained (I'm not unlocked).

Hey all!
I'm totally confused now. I have a G2 unlocked/activated/jailbreaked with OS 2.2 (not 2.2.1). It's working fine with a not licensed provider. Is it now possible for me to upgrade to 3.0? If so, what's the procedure on Windows to get this done? Thank you very much for your help! |
