Thanks for the help, but i did it get working through my headphones by just fiddling within the settings, the voodooHDA was already installed, so anyone else following this guide go to settings > sound > Output and then pick the one you are using, mine was set to unknown and thus wasn't working.

Can you please "repost" on rapidshare or any other direct link the drivers/kext for HD4890 ???

lachesis, can you please explain how you got all 4 cores to work? im running similar setup only using asus p6t mobo. it seems that i can only load osx successfully when i use the cpus=1 command.

Hello, I installed iatkos v7 on my PC with an Gigabyte EX58-UD3R, Intel core i7 920 and Sapphire HD4890 1GB but I don't have quartz extrême compatibility, no sound even if materiels are detected after installation of VoodooHDA, when i play a video, i have no image and no sound.
Anyone can help me.
Moreover, anyone can explain me what is quartz extreme?
