The Wind is a much better choice than the Dell; it is upgradable to 2 gigabytes of RAM. The dell mini inspirions are forever stuck at 1, and at this level of RAM, an extra gigabyte gives a large performance boost.

Other good options: the Acer Aspire One (A150), the Samsung NC10.

The dell mini 10v's can be upgraded to 2gb, but it looks like such a pain in the ass to do..

The HP Mini line of netbooks are very nice.

I'm currently using an HP Mini 2140 as my "note taking companion" to my 15" MacBook Pro when at work our out and about. It's running full retail 10.5.7 with the only issue I have right now being ethernet not working (wifi is fine) and sleep will only go to suspend-to-RAM mode instead of full suspend-to-disk mode (working on a fix for this).

For researching, check out the MyHPMini.com OS X Forum for recommended release models and installation instructions.

I've also heard very good things about the Acer D150's and Lenovo S10 series for hackint0shing.

cheers,
Etienne
