How fast is osx on the nb200?
Say would it be anywhere near 1.8Ghz C2D Macbook?

I have a nb200 and need a mac for pro audio(Logic).

What I saw in videos & so, it was fast as classical mac (on desktop, writer, etc.). Don't know how fast is it in other programs.

I'm going to try the eeePC 1008HA method for Snow Leopard, but the steps on the tutorial were not clear enough for me.
I didn't understand if I needed to have Leopard working on my Toshiba or if I can do it using any Leopard (I have one working on my desktop).

I did a post there with my doubt, only waiting for someone to reply and then I'm going to give a try.

I think you should be right if you restore it on any computer and then use "Netbook Installer" on it, then boot off it in your nb200, you may have to use the 32Bit boot flag which is

EDIT: Just so everyone knows in case it happens to you to the error i got while installing, was something like "The installer could not validate the package contents of BaseSystem" i think.

EDIT: Also i was installing it off a 10gb Internal HDD which is 10years old using an IDE to USB converter, which also might be a reason it did'nt work for me.

Second try:
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 steps are the same as below.
7. Customized my installation removing all the support to the printers.
8. Started the installation.
9. After only two minutes, the evil "You need to restart your computer. Hold down the Power button until it turns off, then press the Power button again." screen.

PS: Different error, why? I don't know, maybe the printers have something to do about it? Or it's just random errors.
No luck on having the pen drive recognized as a bootable device after that.

Ok, so here goes my first try:
1. Downloaded Snow Leopard 10A432 dmg file.
2. Formatted my 8GB Pen drive with 1 partition as MBR.
3. Restored the Snow Leopard image on my Pen drive.
4. Ran the NetBookMaker 0.8.2 (link) to make the Pen drive bootable.
5. Booted on my Toshiba NB200.
6. Installer had apparently ran ok, used the Disk Utility to format my HDD with 2 partitions (20GB free space for Windows XP and 140GB Mac OS (Journaled))
7. Started the installation.
8. After a few minutes, Kernel Panic.

PS: After that, my Toshiba NB200 was totally unable to see my pen drive as a bootable device, I'm trying to make the 2, 3 and 4 steps again to see if I can make it see my pen drive and try again, as I know that a lot of "Kernel panics" happens without any reason.

Remove language's as well in the install.

Im going to buy an 8gb flash drive today and try again maybe.

EDIT: You might also want to try formating as Mac OS Extended (Journaled)

Had another attempt at installing snow leopard now that i got an 8gb USB, using the guide i posted before, i managed to install it but i get a kernal panic while booting , so close... and now 10.5 wont boot.

Installed SNOW LEOPARD successfully!

What's working:
Restart does work.
Shutdown does work.

What's NOT working:
WiFi is not working by default, I can say that.
Webcam does not work on Photobooth and I don't think it'll work on iChat either.
Sound is not working.
Sleep is not working (keep sleeping and coming back in a loop until you open the lid)

STEPS:

7. Customized the installation, removed Printers, Languages and Fonts (I don't think you need to remove Fonts, but I removed and now I'm going to add it again.)
7. Started the installation.
8. Finished the installation, rebooted normally.
9. Booted normally to the welcome screen.
10. The end.
11. I ran this "NetBookInstaller" (link), but nothing different happened, I only checked three options: - Install General Extensions / - Enable Remote CD / - Disable hibernation and remove sleep file (recommended).

PS: This is not enough to make your Toshiba's Snow Leopard usable, so I'm going to try a few more things, adding some kexts and stuff like that, even I'm being a totally novice on that stuff.
But I'm glad I could help you and share the information that I've installed it successfully.
If anyone can tell me what I should do next, or what should I try, it'll be really great.

Another PS: I've read at least 3 different methods to dual boot Windows and Mac OS X, can someone point me the best one to Toshiba NB200?

My battery meter is with the X because I removed the battery, so don't worry. I'll also try adding the battery to see if it works good.

I tried this method with a WD 500GB Hard drive as the installer and the application crashed. When i opened the app it said un supported device so, not sure whats up. i am going to get a 8GB Flashdrive then test it out
