@wingzero619 what is in your mind right now? I know that you're not going to use your Toshiba as your main netbook since you got Sony's. But are you going to try to fix the Atheros WiFi chipset issue? And are you going to recreate your tutorial videos? Or maybe a new image with less steps and more fixes?

I know that you said you were going to, but since you got your Sony, maybe you forgot or something like that?

Just kidding, I'm waiting for your new videos and/or tutorial image step-by-step.

Updated the big post with more info regarding about the new possibility to use the Atheros WiFi Chipset.

Default How to boost sound even louder...

This is a good step.

But there is a way to even boost it further.

Most people don't know that sound devices can be created and mixed into new logical devices (called aggregate devices) using the Audio Midi Setup utility in the Utilities folder inside the Applications folder.

In this utility, you can choose the existing audio output devices, and you'll notice they are not as loud as they could be. Mine were much lower than 1:1 ratio. Also, you'll notice they are set to a very high sample rate that is not needed (you only need 44.1 or 48k for such low fidelity speakers), so you can both lower that and raise the volume there. Once doing that, you will hear a louder internal speaker that doesn't use as much overhead for sound processing. Still tinny sounding, but loud enough to actually hear.

Here is a screen shot of what mine was already like so i did'nt change anything.

Hey guys I was curious if anyone who has taken this netbook apart has noticed how many PCI-e slots there are. I have the nb205-210 model. (no bluetooth). I was thinking about adding a SSD to load my OS on and retain the 160gb for storage. Anyone tried this? Thanks everyone!

Red face Snow Leopard?

I bought a Snow Leopard Retail from Apple Store ( for my MBP Unibody and hopefully for NB200 as well).
I did a light research and tried once, simply got panic at "release i386" bla bla. I had to give up cuz I'm such a noob that even had no clue at all. Seriously believing NB200 is capable to have the retail Snow Leopard on, I really hope someone can help all the Macintoshiba NB200 users to upgrade to OS X 10.6 and say bye bye to 10.5 for good.

MSI Wind forum has the retail snow leopard on their snowybook already, anyone can find some hints from them?

Maybe this thread is out of hackers to help us?

I got the Retail Snow Leopard, going to give a try with all the info I gathered here. I don't have any experience on hacking computers or laptops, and I actually work with my netbook, so it's not good for me to "test" stuff on it, but even then I'm going to give a try.

I never had a Mac before, so it's everything new for me. I don't really know the differences between 10.5 to 10.6, maybe it's better for me to learn on 10.5 first how things work and then try out the 10.6.

Well, I'll post more info here after I give a try.

To solve the bluetooth issue after sleep as well as the device removal warning after sleep, download sleepwatcher

Ok, for starters you just cant install a retail disk, you could try to use the Boot 132 Method or you will have to wait for a group like iDeneb, iPC etc to release it.

Also can someone tell me if the retail 10.6 disk, the one that is $30USD is the full OS or just a upgrade disk? If its the full OS (so you can preform a fresh install off it) i might buy it.

Has anyone tried this install using iDeneb 1.6? Also, can anyone give me instructions on installing this using a flash drive? I'm afraid I haven't been able to find a decent guide on how to do this.
