Cool

Plenty Interested. This thread is what made me sell off my Acer Aspire and go for the most advanced netbook I've seen yet, the Toshiba. 1510 card and Ram have been ordered, and are in the mail heading towards my home as I type.
Completely excited. Wingzero, calibre, everyone involved, thanks so much.

And on that note, does anyone have the steps for installing OS X to an existing GRUB'd XP and Ubuntu Netbook Remix install? On the original hard drive, I have enough space to carve out an HFS+ partition, but I wonder if installing OS X wouldn't wreak havoc on my GRUB setup.

Yes. You need 2 partitions install XP (in my case Win7) first, then OSX on the second partition. When you boot you can choose what partition to start with chameleon, i would also recommend to download and install Chameleon 2 RC2 once you have installed OSX, it adds a GUI type selection.

Just note that you'll want to initialize it somehow with an existing Mac setup so it's recognized when you do an install. Most of my early problems were due to the bare drive, I think.
Thanks for the info. I appreciate it.

Remember that the NB200 only supports SATA1, so it might not run at full speed. I remember another member said they put in a "Western Digital Scorpio Blue 500GB 5400RPM".

Can you briefly outline the steps, just so they're clear? For example:
1. Take existing setup with XP running on your NB205.
2. Boot with something, on SD card or CD, and create a new partition.
(I suggest System Rescue CD 1.2.1 on an SD card)
3. Install OS X according to instructions on this forum.
(what happens to booting in this scenario? Is Chameleon installed to the MBR and it automagically finds the XP partition so when you reboot, as you need to often when installing OS X via iDeneb 1.3, you see "XP" and "OS X" in a menu a la GRUB?)
4. With XP and OS X installed, boot to _______? and install Chameleon 2 RC2.
(Do you need to boot to Chameleon on an SD card and run install from there, or is this something you can do from within XP or OS X?)

Sorry to be a nitpicky stickler for details, but "download and install" just leaves me with a feeling of, 'yeah, but what does that MEAN?' and so I pester for as complete a set of details as possible. Less chance for interpretation and screwing up. :-)

Default Update on where things are...final minor annoyances

Battery indicator:
-Occasionally shows an X, so I close the lid and open it and percentage shows. I installed the iStat Pro widget but there's no battery info in it. I looked at the widget's prefs and it shows "on" for battery, but it's not there.

Trackpad:
-I updated to 10.5.7 as described in my instructions (similar to wing's), but like others have posted, I don't have a Track Pad pane in System Preferences. So I don't have gestures or mutlitouch or scrolling. Pity, but not a dealbreaker.

Has anyone else who has the trackpad issues been able to resolve them running 10.5.7? How about upgrading to 10.5.8: were the issues fixed then? And by issues, I mean having a track pad pane and having scrolling, etc work.
