30 pages eh?
Ok so early on there's info that the Wifi chip doesn't work, and that at least one person has gone to the length of replacing it. That's something I'm unwillign to do, since I really just want to run OS X secondarilly to port .NET apps to Mono on Mac. So, does the internal Wifi work now? If not, is any work being done on it? Howabout eth? |

I received my Dell 1510 WLAN card today, ordered it at Dell half a week ago (link).
I can confirm that it installs really easy (you just need a torx screwdriver to unscrew the panel at the bottom) and that it works out-of-the-box in OSX. It works in Windows XP and Linux too, after installing the neccessary drivers. |

Basically you just prepare your usb stick using unetbootin, and then write the OSX iso to your stick using the leopard hd install helper. I had to try a few times since the leopard install helper is a bit flaky, but if you follow the instructions carefully, it'll work. I used an iDeneb 1.3 iso to write to my USB stick. When complete, put your stick in, turn your NB on and select the 'choose boot device' option or something (i think it's F10 or F12). Select the USB drive, and when it boots you're good to go. If if doesn't boot, you probably didn't to the the leopard hd install helper step correctly. |

Try to reinstall the kexts, in prefs i can change the trackpad speed etc. and voodoo never crashes.

Restart after sleep is a common problem with netbooks. It's pretty much the only flaw in the hack of the Mini 9 from Dell, for example. Honestly, it's not a big deal, is it? Just Shut Down and Power Up instead of restarting. Takes all of an extra 1 second to hit the button.
